How does the Keyword Organizer work?

BookBird’s Keyword Organizer arranges and optimizes your list of search terms for the keyword section of your Amazon book listing. Our tool finds the right place for your keywords and removes duplicates in order to use the maximum number of characters. This allows you to get the most out of your seven keyword boxes.

Step 1: Add Keyword List

First, add your list of terms, phrases, and synonyms that describe your book properly. Please make sure that the different keywords are separated by line breaks. Separations by commas are unfortunately not detected.

Step 2: Select Removal Mode

In the next step, you can select one of our two removal modes. These options decide how detected duplicate words will be removed. Amazon indexes each word of a book listing only once. So it doesn’t provide any advantage to use a certain word multiple times. Below you can find a quick explanation of the different removal modes:

Exact Match:

This mode removes all combinations of keywords that appear multiple times in your list. In this case, the tool identifies each individual line as a separate keyword. This means any duplicate word parts or components are not removed.

Word Element:

This mode removes any duplicate words and even word parts that appear more than once. In this way, the maximum number of characters and keywords can be used.

It is recommended to use this mode if you mainly use short-tail keywords. Special word combinations or longer phrases can be split by this method.

Step 3: Organize Keywords

Now you can hit the “Organize” button to run the tool. After that, all keywords are automatically arranged in seven boxes below. In addition, you will get an overview of the removed duplicates and words that could not be included because of the character limit.

Step 4: Copy Keywords

Next, you can copy the seven keyword boxes by clicking the icon on the right edge.

After that, just add those words and phrases to the keyword section of your Amazon book listing. Finally, save your edited book listing or continue with the remaining publishing steps.

What can we improve on this tool?
