A Number Looks Wrong

Every calculator states the rules it uses on its own page, under the tool: the Amazon KDP printing costs and royalty rates for the royalty calculator, the paper thickness behind the cover calculator, the words per page behind words to pages. Amazon changes its prices from time to time. If a result does not match what KDP shows you, send us the tool, the numbers you entered and what KDP shows, and we will check it.

A Tool Does Not Work

All BookBird tools run in your browser and need no account. If one does not respond, reload the page, and try a current version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge with JavaScript switched on. Browser extensions that block scripts can stop a tool from loading. If it still does not work, tell us which page, which browser and what you clicked.

Using the Templates

The free KDP interior templates are print-ready PDFs you can use in your own books, including books you sell. Each one lists its trim size, page count and the KDP settings to choose when you upload it. A template we have not made yet? Request it here.

Privacy

The tools work on your device. Text you paste into the readability checker and numbers you type into the calculators are not sent to us. See the privacy policy for the details.
